1) Recombination is defined as the process of exchange of genetic material between the two homologous chromosomes in the pachytene stage of Meiosis 1 . According to the Mendel law of independent assortment , the genes are separated independent of each other and the gamete formed if formed in different proportions with different alleles. The genes are located on the same chromosomes or on different chromosomes . There is an independent separation of alleles during the time of gamete formation. The recombination and parent species are 50% , then the genes and alleles are separated in an independent manner . If the genes are located very far , then the percentage of recombination formation is very high.

Hence , option 4 is the correct answer .

2) Meiosis is a process through which gamete formation takes place. In the pachytene stage of meiosis 1 . Recombination takes place that is the exchange of genetic material between the two Homologous chromosome . The new genetic variations are developed due to different arrangement of genes in the genetic exchange method. The chromosomes are aligned at the equator in the metaphase stage of both meiosis in a regulated orientation and the proper set of chromosomes are transferred into the gametes .

Hence , option 2 is the correct answer.

3) The genes that are located very close to each other show the phenomenon of linkage. The linkage is the phenomena of the two genes that have very less distance. The distance are measured in term of map unit . Independent assortment result in independent combination of genes. But in linkage if two genes are close , they are inherited in the gametes with the high probability. Crossing over increases the probability of independent assortment due to the high recombination of genes. Alleles on different chromosomes do not show the phenomenon of linkage and assorted independently of each other .
