Answer #1

c. the United States should provide military aid to South Vietnam.

To resolve several problems in Asia, including the war between French and Vietnam nationalists, representatives from all over the world met in Geneva. After the Geneva agreement, U.S officials felt that the agreement would turn into a disaster. So, in order to save Southern Vietnam from the communist U.S government helped in establishing an anti-communist government and provided financial and military assistance.

a. seek an honorable conclusion to the Vietnam war.

Nixon, during his presidential campaign, promised that he will bring peace and an end to the Vietnam war. People assumed that Nixon has a secret plan to end the war, however, he never made such claims, neither did he specified on how he would achieve the peace.
