J. Associative meaning of a word reflects some ideas associated with the word.

We should avoid the deserted house.

in the above sentence we find associated meaning in the word 'deserted' as it is related to something unnatural and fearful.

Conceptual meaning is the literal meaning of the word.

He saw a cow

Here the word 'cow' suggests an animal with its concrete concepts already stored in our mind.

k. 1. A ball can never smoke because it is an inanimate object. In this sentence the meaning is not clear. The sentence is syntactically correct but semantically wrong.

2. In this sentence the idea is not clear because a table is an inanimate object and it cannot sleep. There is no grammatical mistake. But the sentence is not meaningful.

L. John gave the ball to Mary in the park

The sentence is semantically correct because it is meaningful.
