I. PROPOSAL FOR STUDENT COUNCIL FORMATION
Date: 14th September 2020
To The Principal & Directorate of Clubs & Societies
University of Malaya
Dear Sir,
Based on the current circumstances and a lack of having a proper student council in the university representing the major interests of students in the government of the university, we would like to suggest or propose a formation of a proper student council in the university.
Here the proposal plan is to form a center council dealing with varied interests of the students ranging from academics, professional training and development to forming a governance structure for a proper political practice inside the campus.
Functioning as the center we would have various branches of the same with the students of like interests divided into such groups or branches where the center body would be governing the whole council and its branches. The center would be having both individual representatives along with a President and secretary along with the representatives of each branch.
Each branch would also be having a leader to lead the team along with a group of bench for assisting him/her.
We would also extend our activities in such a manner that we secure the space for all the students leaving the college and the council with a good secured future outside the university.
And the initial funding and resources for the council would be from the college or the other business houses with which we would be forming acquaintances for more endeavors.
We hope and believe you take a good and appropriate decision which would be to give the permission and all supports for setting and starting the council which would prove its worth eventually.
Regards
