ABC Company, Inc., has been in existence for 10 years. It has 50 employees and currently only one location. ABC Company manufactures one product: widgets. It has managed to stay in business by holding onto a small portion of the widget market, but it is far from the market leader. Over the last five years, ABC Company’s market share has stayed more or less stagnant. The president of the company is an older gentleman who mostly works from home. He makes decisions through meetings with his managers over the phone and is rarely seen at the company. Mid-level managers don't have much contact with each other and basically focus exclusively on their individual departments. The rest of the staff members are very distrustful of management, and there has recently been a lot of turnover. Outside of interoffice griping, there is rarely any company wide communication. Recent economic developments and technological advances in the widget industry have resulted in a greater demand for widgets in emerging markets, as well as in the United States. In order to stay competitive, ABC Company is considering expanding its operation globally. ABC has come to you, an expert on organizational change, for consulting advice. 1. The ABC company is a widget product manufacturer company, and it has been in existence for ten years. The company has 50 employees and currently working on one location. Company hardly managed to stay in business by manufacturing widgets but away from the market leaders.

2. The main problems and challenges in order to the better position are the President of the company is an old gentleman who works from home majorly. Due to this reason, employees are not in touch with their President, mid-level managers do not have much contact with him, and each other, staff members are very distrustful of management and consider communication between employees outside the company.

3. In the ABC company president, old gentlemen and managers are critical people in making a decision. The President's role is to decide to achieve the company's objectives and goals, take meetings with upper-level managers for decision making, and the role of managers to supervise and lead the company's operation and employees.

The President is essential to lead the whole organization and approve or inspect every decision. The managers are essential to regulate the process and motivate the employee for an effective result.

4. In the company, highly skilled and experienced staff is required. They are essential to initiate the business as per proper management and increase the ABC company's efficiency and productivity.

5. Yes, the team does require a collaboration communication plan needs to incorporate. To improve collaboration communication, the company should streamline its processes, use a team collaboration portal, improve employee communication, and improve employee engagement. These help increase the company effort to expand globally.

6. The timeline leading up to completion and an operation expanding worldwide is looked like impossible or slowly by the older system. To complete the demand and stay competitive company needs to adopt some changes in their system.
