  • Assessment of the nutritional status is assessed.
  • Duration of the assessment is about 45 minutes and 75 minutes.

Legal and ethical considerations of the Aged Care Act 1997:

  • Regulation of the funds, approval of the providers and the quality of care are regulated by the Act.
  • Rights of the elderly receiving the care are also monitored.
  • The ethical principles be followed are justice, Beneficence, nonmmaleficence, autonomy and accountability.
