1. During the DNA replication process both the strand of DNA replicates. In radiatively labeled replication process, the nucleotides are labeled with radioactive isotopes. As we can the original DNA sequence is given on the left and this DNA particle will form 2 DNA strands. In new DNA particle, one will be older and one will be new. As we can see the upper strand from left DNA is used to make the strand I which will replicate to from the strand II. The strand II is made from radioactively labeled nucleotide so this strand will be radioactively labelled. In the 2nd DNA the IV stradn is older and it will replicate to from the III strand which is formed from radioactively labeled nucleotide so this strand will be radioactively labelled.
