How does Shehrazade use the cliffhanger method of storytelling to successfully have her life spared repeatedly by King Shahyar? philosophy
One of the most important character in the Arabian nights who was also a convincing story teller was Shehrazade who not only overcame her death but also became the queen by telling stories for 1001 nights to King Shahyar. He was a Persian king who married girls for one night and after having sex with them he would order them to be executed. However, when it was the turn of Shehrazade, she held the king with her wit and imagination and ended each night with a great suspense and made the king to wait anxiously for each night. She used the cliffhanger story telling method in which the end of every episode would be nail biting and it would be left for the next episode and this case every night.
