A reasonable concern when working with cysteine rich proteins is that is contains a sulfur group at the side chain and this sulfur group involves itself  in the formation of the sulfhydryl group which is very reactive.Cysteine rich proteins can be oxidized to form a dimer containing the disulfide bridges between two cysteine residues. Such dimer is called as cystine. So, yes they will aggregate via disulfide bridges.
