This evaluation method is important for a globalized company such as amazon since this evaluation method ties the performance to the vision and mission of the company which is a very important aspect where the companies fail in their endeavour. It also involves taking the considerations of all the stakeholders and evaluates whether the company and stakeholders goals are aligned. As we can see in the questions how do shareholders and customers view us? these are the performance parameters which aligns the customer and shareholders needs and measures the company's actions with respect to these needs.
