Background

By designing the right kind of research questions, this helps to explore the required effects of the study and investigate by right research questions. In this scenario, the research questions designed for knowing the effects of introducing flexible working methods on performance and employee satisfaction of the Namibia Training Authority (NTA), training department. For understanding and getting the research outcome through the objectives of the study like identifying the relationship between employee satisfaction and flexible working arrangements, to analyze the impacts of employee work performance and flexible working arrangements, to work out the elements which influence flexible working arrangement in the training department, and to identify the work practices of flexible work management in the NTA training department.

Designing the Research Questionnaire

Today's working nature, flexibility is increasingly recognized as a powerful strategic tool of providing a big way to manage space, efforts, time, and employees more effectively within the background of the uncertainty of the environment and the down turning based on the global economy. It became a key policy adopted to develop a wider, efficient, stronger, more viable organizations with committed, and more productive employees. Below research-based questions evaluate how much the policy influence the employee satisfaction and performance of the Namibia Training Authority (NTA), training department.

The format for drafting and preparing the questionnaire are:

1. Decide the information required based on objectives.
2. Define the target respondents of the study.
3. Choose the method(s) of which reaching your target respondents.
4. Decide on the set of question content.
5. Develop the final question-wording.
6. Put questions into a meaningful order, structure, and format.
7. Check the length of each questionnaire.
8. Pre-test the final questionnaire.
9. Develop the final survey form with clarity.

Objective-Based Questionnaire

A well-designed questionnaire should meet the overall research objectives and it must keep the process smart and brief. It should obtain the most finished, complete, and accurate information possible. A well-designed or structured questionnaire should make it completely easy for respondents to give the necessary information and for the interviewer to take record the answer, and it must be well arranged so that sound analysis and interpretation are possible.

(c) How do you feel that the organization's new flexible working methods reduce the stress or focus more in terms of working style?

(e) Do you have a choice in deciding the aspects of what to do at work?
(f) What all choices in deciding the aspects of what to do at work. Is this increase individual performance and self-development?
(g) How often do you work at home as part of your job or any job-sharing available?
(h) How about the goal clarity and motivation aspects of what to do at work?
(i) Do you have a choice in deciding work and any work pressure after the individual choice about the certain parameters?
(j) Do you have to neglect some tasks or works because you have too much to do irrespective of flexible working arrangements?
(k) How would you rate the level of your job satisfaction and flexible working arrangements?
(l) What factors influence you in work practices of flexible work arrangements?
(m) How positively influence the new working flexible policy of the organization in your overall career growth?
