“Standard addition” method is used for individual samples with
known sample matrices. ____________
(7). For Quant, a linear “Signal vs the concentration of analyte”
response is not needed in Standard Addition
Method and Internal
Standard Method.___________
(8). The greater the Ka value, the more dissociation
the weak acid._______________
(9). In gravimetry, the use of a buret is for the volumetric
analysis purpose. ________________
(10). The biggest buffer capacity lies in pH = pKa ( Ka is the
dissociation constant of the conjugated acid ), even the
buffer shows alkaline
pH. ____________

It's a weak acid strong base titration
Experiment 4: Identification of an unknown acid by titration Page 2 of 15 Background In this experiment, you will use both qualitative and quantitative properties to determine an unknown acid's identity and concentration. To do this analysis, you will perform a titration of your unknown acid sample-specifically a potentiometric titration where you use a pH meter and record pH values during the titration, combined with a visual titration using a color indi- cator...
For the preparation and standardization of NaOH with KHP im supposed to boil water for 1hr and 30 min to remove CO2....the problem is that if I don't boil it for that long and (30 min) b/c of not enough time but I put the water I boiled for 1/2 hr aproximately into a NaOH bottle with a CO2 absorber and stored it there for a few days. I would assume that I would have to boil the water again...but...
