Answer #1

Ans:

1. A - Archosaurs

2. B - Ornithischians

3. C - Saurischians

4. D - Theropods

5. E - Archaeopteryx

6. F - Aves

Explanation: Birds are evolved from reptiles and archosaurs are the diapsids group includes crocodiles, dinosaurs and birds. So, primitive archosaurs are the sister group of this three groups. Crocodiles are first diverged from this group. Dinosaurs are further separated into two groups- the bird-like dinosaurs Ornithischians and the lizard like dinosaurs saurischians. Bird like dinosaurs doesn't gives rise modern birds. Rather lizard like saurischians gives rise bipedal meat eating group theropods. This theropods are further subdivided into two groups Archaeopteryx and modern aves. Archaeopteryx is the missing link between reptiles and birds bearing characters of both birds and dinosaurs.
