Answer #1

Answer : ◉ 0.41

Solution :

Here we have : A Convex spherical mirror.

Radius of curvature : R = 100 cm

Thus, Focal length of the mirror will be : f = R/2 = 50 cm

Image distance : di = 29.7 cm

.

According to the mirror formula :

+ d. d;

Therefore,

1 di f do f di

Thus,

d. di f di - f (29.7 cm) (50 cm) (29.7 cm - 50 cm) = -73.15 cm

Here, Negative sign suggests that the object will be in front of the mirror and the image will be behind the mirror.

.

And, Magnification is given by :

m di do (29.7 cm) (-73.15 cm 0.406

Therefore, Magnification of the image will be : m = 0.406 = 0.41
