From the lecture: Describe the GSCM information technology that is needed to enable each of the GSCM competence stages.
From the lecture, GSCM, the information of the flow of goods and
services includes the movement and storage of raw materials, stocks
in the production process and finished goods, as well as the
implementation of regulations from end to point of use.
Communication Networks and Interconnects Networks are
interconnected in the provision of products and services required
by end customers in the supply chain. Supply chain management is
defined as “planning, implementation, management and control of
supply chain activities to create net value, build competitive
infrastructure, use global logistics, integrate supply with demand
and measure efficiency. The practice of GSCM gets a lot out of the
field of industrial engineering, systems engineering, operations
management, logistics, information technology and marketing, and
strives for an integrated approach. The marketing network plays an
important role in managing the supply chain. Current research in
supply chain management relates to sustainability and risk
management topics, among others. Some refer to the "population
dimension" of GSCM Moral issues, internal integration, transparency
/ visibility and human resource management / talent are topics that
have not been on the research agenda so far.
Although it serves the same purpose as supply chain engineering,
supply chain management focuses on traditional methods of
management and business, while supply chain engineering focuses on
mathematical models based on that.
