Types of plasmids -

F factor - fertility plasmid, allows the bacteria to undergo genetic recombination

R plasmid - resistance plasmid, confers the bacteria to grow in the present of antibiotics

Ti plasmid - tumor inducing plasmid, allow the bacteria to cause tumor formation in other organisms
