Answer 1: Following is the explanation on attributes on modern racism, prejudice & ethnocentrism as well as the impact of this in today's organizations

1) Racism/Discrimination as an attribute & impact of it in today's organization:

  • Even though human beings belong to the same species biologically the racism emerges to be a global problem where the dominant groups continue to pursue thier superiority in endowment biologically somewhat allows them to treat others badly on the bases of race. The attribute of the race today has moved into simplistic /visual signals such as skin color, body features, attire, national origin, religion & sexual preference so on, which ignites the racism through very contact of superficial.
  • The impact of today's racism can be seen in organizations as well in somewhere the firm is work in groups the very common human tendency is to draw the line between as them versus us which forms a process of denial, coalitions & Allegiances on persons. Organizations today in some regions evolved with this as ingroup favoritism, tendency to categorize people into outgroup/ingroup & also create the role of the amygdala which is the mechanism of learning to warn of danger. Racism is an extension of prejudice & Stereotype thinking which also expresses in various means of institutional, Symbolic & Tokensim ways of attacking the people.

2) Ethnocentrism is an attribute & impact of it in today's organization:

  • Ethnocentrism is another major factor which divides the members based on different ethnicities, religious groups, & races, whereby its the belief that one ethnic group is superior as another which affect the individuals to believe that they are better than other persons for reasons solely based on thier heritage, to which this encourages the problems on both racism & prejudice.
  • Ethnocentrism is a common problem that can be seen not only in organizational effects but also in various forms of societal, political & so on which provides the evidence that it still exists today. To illustrate the experience- Present-day politics is a key aspect of such Ethnocentrism whereby many instances can be seen many nations tend to call them superior to others, attached with other aspects of literature, power & autonomy, & so on. Such type of effect can be also be seen in various sectors of the global economy which the group persons get affected due to it at large

3) Prejudice as an attribute & impact of it in today's organization:

  • Prejudice are the common beliefs, feelings, thoughts & attitudes that someone holds about a group which is not based on any experience but it is an act of prejudgement outside the experience, this type of thinking extends to other types of attributes as racism, discrimination, stereotyping, & Ethnocentrism at large. There is an always affecting aspect of bias in outgroup means as automatic feelings of negative aspects of the above on others which creates such difference.
  • The Impact of such prejudice is an outrage in today's organizations globally as, today's firms are working international levels there is cultural diversity in which people from various backgrounds join to work which has a different religion, race/color, sexual appearance & so on. The firm today is effected by such prejudiced thinking development due to improper management of cultural diversities which we can see as an example of women getting discriminated, there are also black & white issues going at the heat at the moment in the US which are all key aspect of extension of prejudice.

Answer 2: Leader today plays a significant role in managing such cultural diversities, he can do the following things that facilitate such an environment that values diversity at large:

  • Giving a time/attention to the workforce who want the support is key in managing the cultural diversity in the firm, whereby frequently addressing the employees issues/complaints which are often can be seen thier ideas/initiatives on it is not supported by the firm's leaders, leaders must engage those people to take such initiatives, listen & make them participate which can facilitate the sound environment at the firm.
  • Balancing the time in supporting others by properly reflecting to check if there is any inadvertently more time dedicated to only one specific group of people & thereby manage to give appropriate timing on various groups is key managing the diversity among firms & thereby create the sound environment.
  • Spreading the responsibilities evenly across the firm, listening to all the complaints about any discrimination/bias is a key aspect every leader must take a stand against such inappropriate behaviors going in the firm, speak to them clearly on thier core values they believe on cultural diversities & thereby manage the firm cultural environment.
  • Looking the diversity beyond the skin, color & gender, fostering the open/candid conversating with & among various groups, assuming to educating about such issues to majority & yourself as a leader on unconscious biases, thereby providing the freedom to people working to ask for help anytime when unsure is a key significant aspect of leadership that need to be incorporated to manage the firm's cultural diversity & environment holistically.
