Describe an ethical dilemma that you experienced, or have witnessed in a change leader, when attempting to initiate change. How was the ethical dilemma resolved? What can a change leader use to guide decision making when faced with an ethical dilemma?
When I was working as a supervisor in a company, we chose to reduce using papers, set up energy-saving equipment and increase our dependence on sustainable sources of energy in our efforts to go green. This choice was satisfied by disruption as it would have increased the monetary costs of business operations substantially as the investment in these brand-new innovations was high. This would have resulted in high organisation operations expenses and might have resulted in task loss too if the implementation was not backed up by financial backing.
We understood the financing manager was best however we also wanted to become a socially responsible business. therefore, we chose to produce an extra account where a part of the earnings will go monthly. this account was to be utilized specifically for going green functions.
Any modification leader will deal with ethical problems in his goal to alter the world. but the best choice can be made on the basis of:
What will benefit the company, stakeholders and the general
society?
Which decision would be more sincere and will assist in the
upliftment of others.
Which decision would be a better example for others to follow.
