Answer #1

Ans

- Labor force refers to the number of people who either have a job or are actively looking for a job. This number excludes retirees, children, stay- at- home parents, full- time students, and other categories of people who are neither employed nor actively seeking employment.

- So in a situation when the adult population remains unchanged and the labor force is reducing it means more and more people are getting out of labor force because of any of following reasons :

o They are getting retired

o They are stay- at- home parents and leaving their job

o They are engaging in further studies leaving their jobs

o Or for any other reason they are neither employed nor actively seeking employment.
