1. A sanction is that part of a law which imposes a penalty for breach of the provisions of the law. It is a punishment for violating a law or statute. It is typically enforced on a person who does not follow the law, or the rules and regulations.

2. This is a foreign-policy and economic stimulus tool concerned with international trade and politics. Financial sanctions are an important aspect of the global battle against financial crime and are used by governments around the world to curb or ban trade with international entities that are engaged in illicit activity or are suspected of involvement.

3. Economic sanction- Export and Import Permit Act: Imposes trade restrictions for particular countries or different categories of products through the Region Control List, the Export Control List, and the Import Control List.
