Background

From the business perspective, the organization needs to implement strategies to meet the demand by utilizing the manpower in better ways, this is always challenging and requires the best utilization of skills in the area of production. The sudden outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID 19) virus has left a threat, pause, or damaging impact all over the world. The demand for hand sanitizer manufacturing business increases and it involves challenges in the segment, and require certain strategies to manpower for meeting the contract demand based on to make smart utilization of employees in the sanitizer manufacturing.

Manpower and Strategies

The manpower planning is crucial and it also called as Human Resource Planning consists of the factors include putting a right number of people in the organization, auditing the employees based on the skills, distribution of work roles to right kind of manpower at the right place, right time, doing the right things for the achievement of goals or objectives of the organization. The total demand for 20 million sanitizers required for manufacturing, and this required constant efforts and strategies to implement the right tactics to manage, control, and utilize the manpower resources.

The five strategies to improve manpower efficiency and productivity are:

Implement the time recording – The organization can’t manage what you can’t measure or track, but by capturing the timesheets the management can understand the current utilization, efficiency, and productivity of the manpower and understand the time consumption, and product development.

Define the appropriate variables – If the organization sell services which will want to measure the chargeable utilization, and ensure to define variables that enable the management to measure utilization and track productivity that is very much applicable to the production of sanitizers.

Improve the overall planning – Ensure to scale and improving the resource deployment may upfront should not only increase the future resource productivity, better implementation, and utilization of resources, it will also provide a more realistic view of the control of the organization by comparing the planned versus actual in the real nature.

Manage the employee-customer expectations – Always ensure to communicate to the entire team, the importance of managing or communicating with the customer’s expectation from the initial inquiry stage all the way through to final project delivery. In the long run, the organization will have more happy or satisfied customers resulting in the employees having to perform less un-productive roles.

Encourage the right collaboration – This approach boost productivity by creating an environment where the entire team members can easily share experiences, knowledge, ideas, and lessons they achieved or learned. This not only improves individual productivity but also help to improve project standards and service delivery timelines effectively.
