Answer #1

1)option A is the correct answer.Stomach is the primary site which is involved in the chemical and mechanical digestion of food.Mechanical digestion occurs as the stomach churns and grinds food into a semisolid substance called chyme,ie partially digested food.Partially digested food or chyme from the stomach is mixed with bile from the liver and pancreatic juice from the pancreas to complete its digestion in the duodenum. In jejunum ,which is the middle section of the small intestine serves as the primary site for nutrient absorption.Secretions from pancreas and liver are used for digestion, apart from that they have no direct action of digestion.Ileum is the final part of the small intestine into which vitamin B12 and bile acids are absorbed. The final stage of digestive system is the colon in the large intestine which absorbs water and salts before the remains are passed out of the rectum as faecus. The colon can also helps to absorb the remaining carbohydrates and fats.

2)option B is the correct answer.Phospholipids and proteins. The plasma membrane is composed mainly of phospholipids, which consists of fattyacids and alcohol.Membrane consists both lipids and proteins. The fundamental structure of the membrane is the phospholipid bilayer, which forms a stable barrier between two aqueous compartments.Plasma membrane composed of phospholipid bilayer embedded with prteins mainly functions to protect the cell from its surroundings.

3)option C,Large intestine is the correct answer.Poop is mostly water, which could not digeted or absorbed by small intestine.Final stage of the digestive system in which colon of the large intestine absorbs this water and salts.Waste products of digestion, including parts of food that are still large becomes stool.

4)option C,bone is the correct answer.Bone is a connective tissue containing cells, fibres and ground substance. It has large amount of two different types of matrix material. The organic matrix is similar to other connective tissues, including some amount of collagen and elastic fibres. They providse internal support, protecting vital organs etc..

5)option C ,testes is the correct answer. The testes are composed of coiled structures called seminiferous tubules, which are the sites of sperm production. The structure on the top of the seminiferous tubules is the epididymis, where to which the sperm gets migrated to.Sperm is produced through the process called sprmatogenesis.

NAME SID 25. Usted below are different steps that occur during the excitation and contraction of a muscle fiber. Please select the correct sequence in which these stages occur. 1) Ca2+ binds to Tropomyosin, causing a conformational change that unblocks cross-bridge binding sites. 2) The Sarcoplasmic Reticulum is depolarized, which opens up Voltage-Gated Channels that release Ca2+ into the cytoplasm. 3) The Action Potential then travels along the cell membrane and down transverse tubules that extend into the muscle fiber....
