Answer #1

A) Null hypothesis ( H0) : conference evaluation is independent of Gender,

Alternative hypothesis (H1) : Conference evaluation is depends on Gender.

B) Test statistics is \sum ((Obs freq - Expected freq )^2/ Expected feq) = 4.446

C) P-value is 0.2171. Which is > 0.05 So We accept null hypothesis that Conference Evaluation is independent of Gender.

D) Type I error is reject h0 even it is actual true here it will be We Reject Claim that Conference Evaluation is independent of Gender based on our obs (Data) even actual it dependt on Gender.

E) Expected frequncy for Very Useful and Female is calculated as (F+V)/N

Where F is Female row total i.e (140+298+102+64)=604

V is very useful  colums total i.e (140+150)=290

And N is grand total i.e sum of all obs 150+240+.....102+64

Expected Freq=(604+290) / 1157 = 894/1157 =
