100 Units of Regular Humulin Insulin in 250 mL 0.9% NS to infuse at 4 mL/hr. How many units per hour will be delivered?

Professor said answer is 1.6 but not sure how to get there. Please help!

Given, 100 units of regular Humulin insulin in 250 ml 0.9% NS to infuse at 4 ml/hr

Using unitary method:-

250 ml NS contain 100 units
1 ml NS contain =100/250 units
4 ml NS contain = (100/250)×4 units
=1.6 units
So, 4 ml = 1.6 units
Infusion rate = 4 ml/hr
=1.6 units/hr

Therefore, 1.6 units per hour will be delivered.
