As we know Tertiary carbocations are more stable than secondary carbocations, because of this tertiary alcohol is a major product and secondary alcohol as a minor product. All the mechanism shown in the given image.

Teertiary alcohol does not undergoes the oxidation reaction. And secondary alcohol undergoes the oxidation reaction to give the ketone as a product.
