  1. For Disorder 1, describe the chromosomal abnormality. For example, a genotype may be described as having "two Y chromosomes" or "an extra copy of chromosome 14." Record your findings in the "Genotype" column of Data Table 5.
  2. Based on the genotype, determine the name of Disorder 1. Refer to Table 3 of the Background as necessary. Record the name in the "Chromosomal Disorder" column of Data Table 5.

  3. List the symptoms of Disorder 1 in the "Phenotype" column of Data Table 5.

Answer #1
disoredr karyotype genotype syndrome
disoder-1 X0 monosomy turner syndrome
disorder-2 extra copy of chromosome 13 trisomy 13 patau syndrome
disorder-3 extra copy of chromosome 21 trisomy 21 down syndrome

# turner syndrome only occur in females and affect the developmental growth in female.

# In patau syndrome an extra full or partial copy of chromosome is present in chromosome 13.due to the abnormal cell division. This chromosomal abnormality causes severe mental and physical problems. Unfortunately, most babies born with it don’t live past their first month or year. But some can survive for years.

# Down syndrome is a genetic disorder caused when abnormal cell division results in an extra full or partial copy of chromosome 21. This abnormality causes the developmental changes and physical features seen in Down syndrome.

THANK YOU.
