Answer #1

The visceral pericardium is also known as epicardium. The visceral pericardium is the inner layer which covers the heart. The pericardium is a double layered sac that covers the heart. The inner layer which lines the heart is the visceral pericardium and the outer layer of the heart is the parietal membrane which is made up of fibrous tissues.

The pleural cavity surrounds the lungs, the abdominal cavity covers the stomach and the fibrous pericardium's inner layer is lined by the parietal pericardium.
