Reciprocal translocation occurs when two chromosomes exchange DNA fragments (that may not have the same length), it generally occurs by errors during the recombination process (the formation of gametes).

Chromosome type 1 and chromosome type 4 have the same quantity of genetic material (represented by the colours and the black bands), the other type of combination that would produce “viable” gametes would be the one with the chromosome type 2 and the chromosome type 3 because even they do look different (the centromere position is different in both chromosomes) they carry the original quantity of genetic material, but is shuffled in a different way as usual.

So, the correct option is “I and IV / II and III”.
