Answer #1

Probability of rain = 0.8

Probability of not raining = 1-0.8 = 0.2

We know that if it rains, the attendance would be of 4000 people.

If it does not rain, the attendance would be of 14000 people.

So, the expected attendance =

= 0.8*4000 + 0.2*14000

= 3200 + 2800

= 6000 people.

So, it is expected that 6000 people will attend the concert.
