Answer #1

Finding Equivalent Capacitance :

C2 & C3 are in Parallel : C ' = C2 + C3 = 2.9 + 2.1 = 5 \mu F

C' & C1 are in Series : C_{eq} = \frac{C ' C_1}{C' + C_1} = \frac{5*4.5}{5 + 4.5} = 2.37 \mu F

Charge from the supply, Q = C_{eq}V = 2.37 * 20 = 47.4 \mu C

Voltage drop Parallel branches : V' = V - \frac{Q}{C_1} = 20 - \frac{47.4}{4.5} = 9.47 V

Charge across C2 : Q_2 = C_2 V' = 2.9 * 9.47 = 27.46 \mu C \rightarrow Answer
