Answer #1

A) In this case a progressive discipline process should suffice. The act of theft here doesn't qualify as a major company threat and hence termination would be a too severe punishment. However the employee should be told to rectify this behaviour and warned that such instances in the future would lead to termination.

B) This scenario also only requires a pogressive discipline proces because a good employer should not curb the freedom of opinion especially in social media platforms like Facebook. Moreover, the employee here is only complaining reagarding the monotonous nature of her work which is not an insult or threat to the company, and can be resolved by talking withi the consumer and understanding the differences in line of work.

C) This scenaraio requires immediate termination of the employee because groping and any form of sexual harrasment should not be tolerated in the work place. A bold and immediate response is required which ensures that other employees take notice and mainitain the organisation's decorum.

D) This issue does not necessarily require immediate termination. However, the employer should immedioately have a chat with employee and work out the issues and concerns that are raised. If the employee does not co-operate in this regard, he/she should be terminated with immediate effect.

E) Before addressing the employee the employer should check with other co-workers whether their thoughts reflect the managers words. If a large majority feel that the employee is troublesome then the employer should contact him/her immediately and order immediate change in work behaviour. If the employee refuses to do so he/she should be terminated form work. However if the employee is shows a willingnes to change, aprogressive discipline process can be effective.
