operations. In your assigned groups, please select a company you wish to research and study
their overall supply chain management process. Please discuss the following:

1. Human Resources Required: Please discuss the staffing requirements in the organization
you selected required to operate an effective supply chain process.
2. Sourcing: Please research their sourcing and procurement strategy on material management
and supplier relations.
3. Production: If you are conducting research in a manufacturing operation, please discuss the
production process, Six Sigma Certification or ISO 9000 Certification. If you are researching
other business please discuss their operations how goods move from inbound delivery to
outbound delivery.
4. Material Management, Handling and Inventory Management:Please discuss how the
chosen operation handles material and inventory management process. Also discuss
inventory management or warehouse management software that the firm uses.

5. Storage and Warehouse Space: Please discuss their warehousing strategy, what type of
warehousing do they use, bonded, public or private warehousing.

6. Shipping & Delivery: Please discuss how the company deals with outbound shipping and
order processing with customers. What are their lead times from time of order to time of
delivery to the customer.
7. Quality Control: Please discuss how the company maintains quality control and consistency
in providing good quality products or services to their customers.
