l = 1.75 + 1 = 2.75 in

height of the 0.5 inch nut H = 0.4375 in

thickness of the washer t = 0.095 in

so,length of the bolt L = l + H + 2 x t .................................................(because two washer is used)

L = 2.75 + 0.4375 + 2 x 0.095

L = 3.3775 in
