are we overmedicating our children ? explain and provide supportive evidence ?
There has been a debate, specifically, since last two years over the issue of overmedication of children. Media/ Television news channels and newspapers have stirred the scene.
But if we analyse and comprehend the issue deeply, with the help of opinions and observations of the medical prodessionals and doctors, we can be sure that we are not over- medicating our children.
For example, Thomas Insel, the Former NIMH Director in his articles and interviews conveyed that the number of children suffering from Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Autism specturm disorder, diabetes has increased in recent years and the allied medication till there's complete relief has also increased.
Further, the children with the behavioural and emotional problems are also on the rise and this situation demands for more medication than never before.
There's no appropriate and accurate and trustworthy evidence towards overmedication so far.
