1. Symbiosis

Symbiosis is a biological interaction between two different organisms which live together and interact in some way . This interaction can harm both of them, help both of them(mutualism), help one and hurt the other (parasitism) or help one and have no impact on the other (commensalism).

2. Forb

Forb is broadleaf herbaceous plant that are not grass like ( graminoid) growing in a field or meadow.They are non woody plants with very showy flowers . Examples of forbs are sunflower and milkweed.

3. Exponential

When an organism colonising a new habitat and when resources are unlimited , it exhibits an exponential growth curve. It results in J shaped curve and shows accelerating pattern of increasing population size.

4. Intertropical convergence

Intertropical convergence is the zone where surface aircurrents (trade winds) from northern and southern subtropics meet . It is also known as doldrums or calms because of its windless , monotonous weather and encircles earth near the equator.

5. Allocation/trade-off

If the organism uses energy for one function (for example -growth and reproduction) then the amount of energy available for other functions are reduced and this leads to trade off between number and size of offspring.This concept is called allocation of resources.
