Answer #1

Bacteria contribute to anoxygenic photosynthesis

Anoxygenic photosynthesis is a photosynthetic process where light energy is captured and converted to ATP, without the production of oxygen. Water is not used as an electron donor. Many groups of bacteria can undertake anoxygenic photosynthesis. Examples are green sulfur bacteria, green and red filamentous anoxygenic phototrophs (FAPs), phototrophic purple bacteria, phototrophic acidobacteria and phototrophic heliobacteria.

Microbes are important for human life on earth

The human body hosts many microorganisms some on the skin and some in the GIT. These microbes helps in digestion, produce certain vitamins like vitamin K and promote development of the immune system. They also function as decomposers, nitrogen fixers, has role in nutrient cycling and also are involved in fermenting foods. Viruses are found in almost every ecosystem. Not only bacteria fungi are also importnat for plant growth.
