After adding one dropper of sufanilic acid and one dropper of a alpha-naphthylamine to each broth,a color change to RED indicates a positive nitrate reduction test as shown in test tube A, means organism has reduced nitrate to nitrite.No color change indicate absence of nirite as shown in test tube B.Test tube C is showing nitrite reduced into nitrogen dioxide (NO2), positive test result of nitrite reduction test .
