2. No red color forms à no nitrate present, because it was converted to nitric oxide, nitrous oxide, ammonia or nitrogen gas: super nitrate reducer.

After including 1 dropper of sufanilic acid as well as one dropper of an alpha naphthylamine to each and every broth,a colour shift to RED signifies a good nitrate reduction check as revealed around examination tube A, will mean organism has decreased nitrate to nitrite.

No colour shift suggest lack of nitrite as revealed in test tube B.
