Why we call it Bluetooth ?
Dear student,
As it is with many names of different companies, there is always or in most scenarios, a hidden story behind them.
This is also the case with the familiar short-range wireless communication service that we all know as Bluetooth.
Bluetooth was termed by and Intel engineer named Jim Kardach. He explained that the name was inspired from the name of a 10th Century King in Denmark, King Harald Bluetooth. This Viking King had played a major role in uniting Scandinavia and he was a role model to Jim who also wanted to unite the competing companies into one single standard wireless technology development. Thus originated Bluetooth as a name.
Also, the logo of Bluetooth is nothing but the initials of King Harald written in Scandinavian Runes.
I hope the given solution helps clear your doubt.
Don't forget to give it a thumbs up.
Regards
