Answer #1

Myth of Sisyphus is one of the most classic examples for the absurdity of human life in which he was condemned by the gods to roll a boulder up to the hill only to see it coming down again. This act is going on for eternity and there is no meaning in him doing such because it’s only a curse. One of the most important things about absurdity in life is that we at times tend to engage in tasks repeatedly without either enjoying it or finding meaning in doing them. When one is does things in which one is not interested or when one does things and derive no satisfaction from it, one’s life would become absurd. One of the most important things about life is to find meaning to our actions in order to derive satisfaction and happiness. As Nagel suggests that although we do things seriously, when we look back at our actions, they would seem meaningless or we would doubt the meaning of our own actions which would lead one to be absurd. We all would have felt things in that way at least once in our life time. Most of the time it would occur when our actions are not recognized, accepted or appreciated by others, especially those we value.
