a ) It is a Battledore placenta, in this umblical cord is attached to the margin of placenta.

Normally umblical cord attached to the center of placenta.

b ) Fetal surface :

• Umblical cord is attached to the margin of the placenta
• umblical vessels are radiating from umblical cord.
• umblical vessels branch on the fetal surface to form chorionic vessels and these helps to form venous system.
• Umblical cord covered by amnion which is smooth and transparent.

Maternal surface :

• Maternal surface have about 15 to 20 cotyledons, grove and smooth chorion
