Lights come to the retina through cornea, pupil and lens. In the retina there are photoreceptors in the rod and con cells which receive the light signal and convert it in neurochemical signals and then the signal pass to the bipolar cell and activate it which in turn activate the ganglion cells by transmitting the signal and finally bipolar cell send the signal to the optic nerve.
