a) The value of the two tailed test statistic is Z = -1.42

P Value = 0.1556. From Z table

P Value = 0.156

At the 1% significance level the data does not provide sufficient evidence to reject the null hypothesis Ho in favour of the alternative hypothesis Ha because the obtained P Value is greater than the significance level.

b) The value of the two tailed test statistic is

Z = 0.33

P Value = 0.7414 from Z table

P Value = 0.741

At the 1% significance level the data does not provide sufficient evidence to reject the null hypothesis Ho in favour of the alternative hypothesis Ha because the obtained P Value is greater than the significance level.
