Review the Siemens AG case study. Note the importance of understanding the interrelationships amongst all the senior leaders at every location. Pay special attention to Figure 8.1 and Figure 8.2. Note how the corporate CIO should engage with each of the regional leaders. Why is this important?

Siemens works in secure business settings worldwide. In the introduction of any new IT plan or technical solution, it is very important to find all road blocks (in this case e-commerce). Deasy had developed a variety of forums in this case to address specific concerns and suggestions of CIOs within an organization. Deasy has rounded up several CIOs from different multinational organizations to work with Siemens by setting up a consultative committee to vote on several strategic issues.

Deasy had formed three pneumatic groups on its basis such as management , finance and technology professionals. These different management tires are responsible for decision-making at different levels. Through working with organizations such as the CFO quarterly conference, the CIO consultative board and the presidential committee, Deasy intends to discuss different issues. That community has an out-of-the-box agenda to address many subjects such as IT costs and business strategies.

The Advisory Committee on Technology, Service, Communications and New Proposal (CIO) is responsible for resolving issues related to the fields of emerging technologies. The 2nd tire is CFO Quarterly, which addresses new ROIs and emerging innovations at the distinct level of activity at Seimens. This degree of debate is held on a quarterly basis. There will be debate here on the budget for new ideas.

The President's Council is the third wheel. This pneumatic research addresses programs and focuses primarily on analyzing future plans and outcomes. Depending on its implementing 3 business priorities, the Final Council of Presidents must agree on budget allocation. As se dimens is a large organization with a discreet sector, communication and awareness of different issues that that occur when introducing the new e-commerce platform is very critical.
