Organometallic chemistry deals with organometallic compounds. Organometallic compounds are the compounds comprised of a metal bonded directly with Carbon atom.

Example- ferrocene.

It is a very important branch of chemistry as organometallic compounds are of great use in daily life.

Such as, in agriculture, ferrocene is used.

Organometallic compounds are also used in anti-cancer drugs.

Also, organometallic compounds are used for synthesis of various pharmaceutical drugs.

So, we can conclude that organometallic chemistry is very important for us.
