In the Applied Behavior Analysis the therapy is imparted for increasing certain behaviors like social interaction, communication, skill development etc.
In setting time, the theory of development is focused. It is kept in mind the expected behavior of the child at certain age. In case of therapy it appears that the child has some problems in communication with the social members. In a specific time the child is imparted therapy and with the help of the therapy the expected behavior pattern is imparted in the child according to age.
But the setting of time depends on the nature of disorder. It appears that in case of chronic disorder the time setting fails and it is not possible to improve the child within a certain time. As for example, at the age of four to five the child learns addition. the child is taught with natural stimulation. In case of disorder, it may not take place at the right time. Again, the child is taught how to count and if there is no parental effort the child may not learn it at the right time. So, with the help of therapy the child's level according to the age is brought so that the child can be equal to the level of the age and other children.
