Given that confidence interval is (4.4 ,5.4)

i.e lower limit= 4.4

upper limit= 5.4

i) estimated margin of error=

(upper limit-lower limit)/2= (5.4-4.4)/2= 0.5

Answer is 0.5

ii) the sample mean is =

(Upper limit+lower limit)/2 = (4.4+5.4)/2

Answer is 4.9
