Rita is the Director of Human Resources at the Rockbrook
Assisted Living Facility. The facility is extremely short staffed
and has been advertising the registered nurse positions that are
available. An applicant, Ned, is intereviewed by Rita for the
position of 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. charge nurse. His application
states he is a registered nurse and has just moved to Nebraska from
West Virginia. He does not provide any proof of his education, but
claims he received his BSN from a nursing school in West Virginia.
Ned is available to begin working immediately. He answers all the
questions thoughtfully and appears very intelligent.
-As the Director of Human Resource, should Ned be hired? Why or why
not?
-Explain your reasons for the steps/actions you should take.
As the director of the Human Resource, Ned should not be hired because, he has not submitted his educational documents with the HR. Eventhough his application states that, he is BSN, there is no specific evidence that , he is actually a nurse and has done any health care works. So, as a director, his application cannot be shortlishted unless, he provide the documents. But, the HR can keep his resume saved, and can inform him that once he is ready to provide the required documents, he would be hired as the charge nurse.. He can be given some time limit for the submission.

A Routine Endoscopic Procedure Our mother usually had an endoscopic procedure every 2 years. We thought that she had too many visits with her gastroenterologist. She saw the gastroenterologist about every 30 or 60 days.
