English could create employment opportunities and increase communication among people in today's interconnected world. From its beginnings as the language of international trade (buying and selling things between countries) under the British Empire, English is now riding the wave of globalization (the spread of culture, technology, information, and language around the world) and technology like no other language before. Answer 1: English is a globally used language. It is bound to grow in future because of personal and economic necessity. English serves various purposes such as better communication which creates employment opportunities.

Answer 2 : International business are requiring their employees to know the 'English' language. They want everyone to know the same launguage because it results in better communication and understanding. It makes direction and supervision easier.

Answer 3 : Developing countries make more money when they make more of their students learn English. This is because of the reason that countries which use English in their school curriculum are attracting foreign investments.

Answer 4 : Two facts about increase in people learning English as second language around the world are -

1) Right now, ESL (English as a second language) speakers outnumber native English speakers 2 to 1 worlwide.

2) China is already largest English speaking contry in world. The number of English language learners in China is atleast as large as whole US native English speaking population - over 300 million and counting.
