Income from investing in muncipal bonds is generally exempt from Federal and state taxes  for residents of the issuing state. While the interest income is tax -exempt, any capital gains distributed are taxable  to the investor.

The funds assets are invested in 30% California municipal bonds and 70% other state municipal bonds.

So it is exempted and NIL amount will be taxable.
